The airport that services Marquette, Mich., is Sawyer International Airport. Two airlines have daily flights to Detroit, Minneapolis, Green Bay, Wis., Milwaukee, Wis.; and Chicago. The airport is located between the Upper Peninsula cities of Gwinn and Marquette at the location of the former K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base.
The airport is about a 25-minute drive from Marquette. Car rentals, bus shuttles and private taxi services are available for transportation to and from the airport, but should be reserved in advance. Coaches, athletes and officials competing at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials or the ISU World Cup will have transportation already arranged to and from the official event hotel.
